Professional Scope &
Important Scope Clarification
Creative Counselling does not imply that I am a registered counsellor or a registered psychologist. I do not diagnose, treat, or assess mental health disorders, nor do I work with situations that fall outside my professional scope.
The Meaning Behind Creative Counselling
The name Creative Counselling was intentionally chosen as a play on words to reflect both the approach and the purpose of the work I offer.
Creativity sits at the heart of my practice. I use creative outlets alongside coaching-based tools to support children and teenagers as they navigate everyday life challenges. Many young people struggle to articulate their emotions through words alone, which is why creativity becomes a powerful and accessible way for them to express themselves, process experiences, and build self-awareness.
Counselling, by definition, is a professional process that provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to talk through their difficulties. It supports self-understanding, strengthens coping skills, and empowers individuals to find their own solutions and make positive life changes.
Creative Counselling aligns with this definition through its focus on emotional exploration, coping skill development, and personal growth—delivered in a child- and teen-friendly, creative manner.
Through Creative Counselling, I use creative methods and coaching techniques to safely guide children and teenagers in working through specific situations, while equipping them with practical coping skills that empower them to manage similar challenges independently in the future.
Professional Scope
It is important to note that I am not currently a registered counsellor or a registered psychologist. I am, however, in the process of studying toward becoming a registered counsellor.
